Rev. William Ole Hatley, age 87, of Tulsa, went to be with his Lord on Thursday February 27, 2014 at University Village Assisted Living Center. Ole was born in Peoria, Oklahoma  March 19, 1926 to Samuel Ole and Alma Mae (Collins) Hatley. He was raised in Stilwell, Ok,  left school in the 11th grade to serve his country in the U.S. Navy working as an airplane mechanic and was stationed in Guam. After an honorable discharge from the Navy in 1946 he received his high school diploma and moved to Miami, Ok. where he started a career at B. F. Goodrich and  his lifelong journey of serving God. Ole’s first ministry position was serving as the youth pastor and Sunday school teacher at the Miami First Assembly of God Church, where he met Wilma A. Buxton and they were Married on May 23, 1947 at the  Assembly of God Church, thus the beginning of the two of them serving the Lord side by side. After  pastoring at the Wyandotte Assembly of God Church, Ole and Jean were  offered the pastorate of a church in Panama, Ok. It was a leap of faith for Ole and Jean, because he had a great job at B.F. Goodrich and had been there 10 years, so they trusted God and went into fulltime ministry, Brother and Sister Hatley were dearly loved by each community they served in, spending many years at the Miami, Wyandotte, Wayside, Stilwell, and Panama Assembly of God Churches. On November 12, 2002 Brother Hatley was Honored with a luncheon and gold pin for his 50 years of service with the Oklahoma District Council of the Assemblies of God . In his 50 years Brother Hatley served as Sectional youth leader of the State of Oklahoma, and sectional Presbyter for the Oklahoma District Council  from 1985-1991. Retiring in Skiatook Brother Hatley loved to deer hunt and go to garage sales, they both loved spending time at the Skiatook Senior Citizens Center. They dearly loved every church and community they served in and they in turn were dearly loved by the communities and churches.
