Willetta Ann "Billie" Elfers, Age 71, of Blue Ridge TX
Funeral services for Willetta Ann Elfers will be held at 1:00 p.m Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Zac Klassen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Mission cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton funeral Home.
In recent years, Billie courageously battled pulminory problems, diabetes, chronic pain and numerous occurrences with cancer. Through it all, however, she always maintained her congeniality, a bright outlook and unwavering devotion and dedication to her family. Her valiant struggle ended on Monday, September 7, at the McKinney Medical Center, McKinney TX.
Starting at age 15, until retiring in 2006, Billie worked for various Commercial Security companies and dining establishments as a chef and waitress. Billie enjoyed collecting what-nots, watching old classic movies, gourmet cooking, traditional country music and enthusiastically following the OU Sooner football team. She was a very big Elvis Presley admirer and had an extensive Elvis memorabilia collection.
Billie was born June 13, 1944 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Emmett Otis and Helen Lavada (Welch) Williams. She grew up and received her education in Sperry. In 1962 she moved to California and subsequently to Washington State. She married John Elfers Sr. and they moved to Haskell, Oklahoma, moved again to Tulsa and in 1980 they settled in the Dallas area of Texas.
Billie was preceded in death by her mother and father, a brother Monte Dean and two sisters: Dolores Jean and Phyllis June.
Billie is survived by her two children: Justina Ann Elfers and John Paul Elfers Jr, three sisters: Marjorie Sue Messick, Donna Emery and Judy Kay Ramsey, seven brothers: Stanley Joe Williams, Otis Emmett Williams, Russell Lee Williams, Ronald Raymond Williams, Jerry Lynn Williams, Larry Randall Williams and Justin Dale Williams and four grandchildren: Justin Paul Elfers, Ashellie Tolbert Elfers, Matthew Elfers and Laureen Elfers. Casket escorts for the services will be: Justin Williams, Larry Williams, Jesse Emery, Stanley Williams, Justin Paul Elfers and Otis Williams Jr. Also left to cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews and other relatives, her beloved Chinese Pug "Daisy" and her esteemed long term best friend and companion, Frank Alderete.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home. Music for the services will be: ”Go Rest High On That Mountain”, “Life’s Railway To Heaven” and "Farther Along". At Hillside Mission cemetery, she will be reunited with her parents in eternal rest.
