Wiley Thomas Sears

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hazelwood officiating.

Wiley Sears, age 74, of Skiatook, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Cornerstone Hospital in Broken Arrow.

Wiley was born February 13, 1945 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to William Lee and June (Bratcher) Sears. He grew up and received his education in Bartlesville graduating in 1963 and he received an associate degree from TCC in Industrial Management. Wiley also served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967 and received a Bronze Star. Wiley married Sandra Jo West on August 18, 1967 in Bartlesville making their home in Tulsa and moved to Skiatook in 1968. He was employed with McDonnell Douglas in 1967 and retired when they closed the doors. He also worked for Safety Railway in Tulsa where he was a Purchasing Agent and Green Country Sub Pumps in Hominy where he was a Transportation Supervisor. Wiley made and played Native American flutes. He loved to read and is the author of many short stories and poems. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent all the time he could in the woods hunting, fishing, and scouting.

Wiley was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Wiley is survived by his wife Sandra Jo (West) Sears, children: Wiley T. Sears Jr. (Tom) and Shelli (Sears) Ketchum and husband Khristopher Ketchum, brothers: Wayne Sears, William L. Sears (Bill), and Weldon Ray Sears, Sisters: Bess Marlar and Carol Smasal, grandchildren: David, Katy, and June, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Wiley Sears entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
