Funeral services for Wendy J. Mullen will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Church Of The Nazarene with Rev. Dennis Ervin, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Wendy J. Mullen, age 76, of Tulsa, died at 3:26 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at her Tulsa residence.

Wendy was born February 3, 1937 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to W.W. and Margaret Louise (Bennett) Ervin. Wendy grew up and received her education in Skiatook and was homecoming queen her junior year graduating high school with the class of 1955. She raised her four children in the Skiatook and Tulsa area. Wendy worked in sales and marketing throughout her life including managing a fur department, radio advertising and as an agent for a local fiddle player Jana Jae. One of her true passions was interior design. She loved going antiquing and she would restore many of her own pieces. She was a true natural. Wendy was also a very talented artist and created several of her own oil paintings.  Along with her hobbies, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Wendy was preceded in death by her daughter; Susan Angela and her mother and father; Margaret Louise and W.W. Ervin.

Wendy is survived by one brother; Dennis Ervin of Logan, Ohio, four children; Sheila Morton of Skiatook, Sheree Taft of Collinsville, Shaun Dawes of Oologah and Shannon Ledford of Tulsa, nine grandchildren; Nicholas Shane, Andrea Dyan, Amanda Jane, Skyler Aaron, Shelsey Paige, Hannah Michaye,  Hayley Marie, Hayden Michael and Hudson Matthew, six great grandchildren; Alyssa, Riley, Ethan, Cadon, Dakota and Raya and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services: “Hallelujah”, “Jesus Loves Me”, “Jesus Paid It All” and “You Raise me Up”.
