Wanda Wayne (Griggs) Ellis

Wanda Wayne Ellis, age 85, of Skiatook went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her Skiatook residence.

Wanda was born September 22, 1936 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Lan P. and Ella V. (Gaylor) Griggs. Wanda grew up and received her education in Skiatook.  She married David N. Ellis Jr. on May 29, 1953 in Skiatook where they made their home. Wanda was a homemaker. She loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren, going to Branson and shopping. Wanda was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Skiatook and was known by her family and friends as a fierce prayer warrior.

She was preceded in death by: her parents Lan and Ella Griggs; husband, David; son, Stephen Ellis and daughter, Kim Barlow.

Wanda is survived by: her son, David Ellis and wife Cathy, daughter-in-law, Karen Ellis, son-in-law, Wayne Barlow, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be “Amazing Grace” performed by David Cadence Ellis, “It Is Well With My Soul” and “I Can Only Imagine” performed by Brady Ellis.

Pallbearers for the service are David Logan Ellis, Brady Ellis, Joe Green, Adam Barlow, Andy Barlow, Chris Wulff and Zeth Pankhurst.

The family of Wanda Ellis entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
