Violet "Marie" (Long) Beard

Funeral services for Marie Beard will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Butler officiating. Private interment will be held in the Osage Gardens Cemetery following the services.

Marie was born November 12, 1939 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Garland and Lilly (Beeler) Long. Marie was a homemaker of the home. Marie had worked in Texas and Oklahoma for school districts where she worked in the cafeteria’s. Marie loved to work puzzles. Marie was a devoted Christian lady loving the Lord.

Marie was preceded in death by her mother and father; Garland and Lilly, one sister; Shirley McBiegh, son; Marvin Joe Beard and grandson; Billy Matthew Roberts.

Marie is survived by her daughters; Rose Marie James and Linda May Jones, two brothers; Perry Bennett and Freddie Bennett, sister; Virginia Jackson, twenty-six grand children and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Marie Beard entrusted the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home with her care and services.
