Verna Marie “Vera” Sanderson


Verna Marie “Vera” Sanderson, age 58, of Collinsville, died at 4:29 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Vera was born November 1, 1954 in Compton, California to Alfred and Verna (Alessi) McDaniel. Vera was employed with Direct TV where she was currently employed as a supervisor. Vera liked fixing things, tinkering, antiquing, loved animals especially her cat and dog.

Vera was preceded in death by her father and by one sister.

Vera is survived by her two daughters: Casey Robertson of Collinsville/Oklahoma City and Nicole Peridore of Collinsville, one son: Joey McDonald of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mother: Verna McDaniel of Las Vegas, Nevada, one sister: Veronica Green of Claremore, two brothers: Wayne McDaniel of Fountain Valley, Ca and Larry McDaniel of Las Vegas, Nevada, two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services: “Imagine”, “Yesterday” and “Threaten Me With Heaven”.

Casket escorts for the services are: Larry Jones, Johnny Jones, Clayton Robertson, Johnny McDaniel, Ulisses Costeira and Antonio Hernandez.
