Visitation for Tracy Blankenship will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Tracy Blankenship, age 78, of Collinsville, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 at his Collinsville residence.

Tracy was born December 10, 1941 in Caldwell, Kansas to Ernest Elvin “Jack” and Ethel Elizabeth (Rader) Blankenship. He grew up and received his education in Caldwell, Kansas. Tracy married Lawanda Kay Haigood in 1960. Then on October 11, 1974 he married Julia Fay Ferguson in Tulsa making their home in Turley, Sperry, Skiatook until moving to Collinsville in 2013. Tracy was employed with Sheridan Lanes where he worked in Lane Maintenance and drove the Sheridan Lanes Bus. Tracy also was employed with Red Top Trucking where he ran a dump truck for 10 years before retiring. Tracy liked to terrorize his grandchildren, going to the kids sports, yard work, fishing anything to do with the outdoors and collecting caps.

Tracy was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Ethel Blankenship, brother: Ernest Darrel Blankenship, sister-in-law: Nolly Blankenship, mother in-law and father in-law: Sterling and Leola Ferguson, brother in-law: Donald Ferguson and son in-law: Bret Henson.

Tracy is survived by his wife: Julia, children: Deborah Kay McGaha and husband Covey, Sterling Dean Blankenship and wife Cynthia, Michael Lane Blankenship and wife Annie, David Wayne Blankenship and wife Kimberly, Phyllis Jean Blankenship,  Becky Sheofee and Kayla Fay Henson, brother: Paul Dennis Blankenship and wife Fran, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Sterling Blankenship, Burl Forbes, Joshua Robbins, David Blankenship, Michael Blankenship, Quinn Brum, Becky Sheofee and Mikayla Blankenship.

The family of Tracy Blankenship entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
