Tracey Lee (Huddleston) Akin

September 14, 1967 — December 17, 2021

Skiatook

Our hearts are heavy that we have lost our sweet Tracey Lee Akin. Funeral service will be held at the Sperry High School Auditorium beginning at 1:00 p.m.. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. The ministers, Pastor Jack Richey, Dr. Alicia Tinsley and Pastor Adam Stang will officiate the service. Burial is to follow at the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook. Friends are also invited to come pay their respects at Sein Shelton Funeral Home in Skiatook on Monday from 6-8 pm.

Tracey was born to Roger Lee Huddleston and Wendy Kay Ragan on September 14, 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was raised in Skiatook by Terry and Wendy Kay Whittle and Roger and Paula Huddleston. She attended Skiatook High School and graduated in 1985. She was known to say very proudly “Once a Bulldog always a Bulldog”. This is where Tracey and Richard started their legacy. The two met in the summer of 1983. Being the servant she was, she took a card to Richard for a “friend”. Richard said right then he knew “that was the girl he would marry”. He was reunited with Tracey by a friend that was dating his uncle Robert. Robert took them on their first date to McDonalds where Tracey would only eat french fries. This is where they fell deeply in love and were inseparable during their high school years. She went between being a bulldog and cheering for a pirate.

After graduation, she attended  Northeastern State University where she earned a degree in social work in 1989. She worked for 17 years at the Department of Human Services helping the underserved population in many different areas. She went on to earn a  Master's Degree in Family and Consumer Science in 2005 from Oklahoma State University. After completing her Master's Degree she went into the field of education and worked as a school counselor for Sperry Public Schools. This is where she was really able to live out her passion to touch so many young people's lives and help shape many generations to come.

She became a mother for the first time on May 18th, 1998, when Louden Park was born. She fell deeply in love with him and devoted her time to being a mother and continued to work full time. Richard and Tracey  were blessed again with a daughter on April 16th, 2004 when Lakelee Paige came into this world. Tracey loved most of all being a mother. She truly devoted her time and all her energy to her precious children. Their house was full of sports, hunting, fishing and love. There was never a time that their door was not open to any and all that came by to visit, eat or just swim in their pool.

Tracey enjoyed crafting, spending time with family and most of all serving others in any way she could.  She was always thinking of others and strived to make sure everyone knew how special they were and how much she thought of them.

She was reunited in heaven on December 17th. Greeting her in heaven was her father Roger, Grandfather Wendy Ragan, Grandma LaVerne Ragan and her Uncle Mike Ragan.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory Richard Akin and her son Louden and daughter Lakelee as well as Kayla Beagles. Her Mom and Dad, Wendy and Terry Whittle, Step-Mother Paula Huddleston. Sister April Graham and husband Andy and brother Jessie Huddleston and wife Kate. Nephews Will Waller, Layne Waller, and J-Tom Huddleston and nieces Adelynn Waller and Acey Akin.
