Thelma Lu Morton

Funeral services for Thelma Lu Morton will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Rest Haven Cemetery with Elder Charles Rowden presiding. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Lu Morton, age 80, of Sperry, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the St. John Medical Center in Owasso.

Lu was born July 16, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to J.R. and Olla LuVerne (Keith) Pickens. Lu grew up and received her education in Sperry, graduating in 1954. Lu married Bill Morton Jr. on March 16, 1956 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas making their home in Tulsa and Sperry. Lu was a member of the R.L.D.S. / Community Of Christ Church in Sperry.

Lu was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband and by three brothers: : Jim Schooley, Jack Schooley and Tom Schooley.

Survivors are son: Robert Morton, granddaughters: Jennifer Herman, Melinda Miller and Ashley Green, great grandchildren: Christopher Waldron, Hanna Miller, Hailey Miller, Harlie Miller and Presley Green.

The family of Thelma “Lu” Morton entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
