Funeral services for Thelma Mae Bennett will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Riveted Church with James Ashford, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Thelma Mae Bennett, age 87, of Skiatook, died at 2:01 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Skiatook Nursing Home.

Thelma was born September 19, 1926 in Wildhorse, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Lydia (Killion) Meade. Thelma grew up and received her education at Wildhorse and Skiatook. Thelma married E.J. Perigo June 12, 1950. Thelma later married Milford “Ben” Bennett and they made their home in Skiatook. Thelma was employed with the Skiatook Nursing Home for four years and had also been employed with Otasco and was a homemaker of the home. Thema liked to crochet, go bowling, play yahtzee and go camping.

Thelma was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Milford, one daughter; Donna Perigo, one brother and by two sisters.

Thelma is survived by her two daughters; Karen Davis and husband Ron of Skiatook and Janet Mount and husband Steve of Tahlequah, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be; Peace In The Valley, He Touched Me, In My Fathers House and Happy Day.

Casket escorts for the services will be; Wayne Roach, Jim Reed, Ross Barnett, Ronnie Scivally, Len Merchant and Bob Crawford.
