Stephen Virgil Yoakum

Stephen was born to Marie Parnell in Fort Smith, Arkansas on January 3rd 1927. He went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 10th 2022 in Tulsa.

He was preceded in death by his mother Marie Parnell and his brother Randy Wolf.

He is survived by his great niece Trina Gonzales and husband Dale of Tulsa, Rhonda Schraub of Tulsa, and many other nieces and nephews, also some wonderful friends!

Stephen was a poet, laborer, and worked on the U.S.S. Birmingham as a young man. Stephen was very, very, fond of his brother Randy and took care of his mother until her passing. He was a man of God. He enjoyed giving out his “tracks” to everyone he met. Stephen would go to Freeway Café or Brownies almost everyday to make sure he did God’s work! He also did picture art with names and he made sure to do that up until a few days before he went to heaven.

The family of Stephen Yoakum entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
