Funeral services for Stephen Brian Ellis were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at First Assembly of God Church with Monte Lovvorn, officiating. Interment followed in the Hillside Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Stephen Brian Ellis, age 53, of Owasso, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 from a motorcycle accident in Berryville, Arkansas.
Steve was born November 24, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to David N. and Wanda W. (Griggs) Ellis Jr. Steve grew up and received his education in Skiatook, graduating from Skiatook High School in 1977. He married Karen Ann Corbell August 3, 1979 in Skiatook and made their home in Owasso. Steve was in sales for Honda of Tulsa Motor Sports for ten years. His hobbies were motorcycle riding, passionate recruiter for Rides for Kids and guitar playing with his brother. He was a member of Asbestos workers Local 64, T-Town Riders and Harley Owners Group.
Steve was preceded in death by his father; David Ellis Jr.
Steve is survived by his wife Karen of the home, two children; Stephanie “Stevie” Koss and husband Jason of Owasso and Taylor Beth “Buddy” Ellis of Norman, four grandchildren; Garett, Madison, Olivia and Riley, mother; Wanda Ellis of Skiatook, brother; David Ellis and wife Cathy of Skiatook, sister; Kim Barlow and husband Wayne of Skiatook and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Casket escorts for the service were: Justin Scranton, Adam Barlow, Thomas Corbell, Andy Barlow, David Logan Ellis, Brady Ellis, Shawn VanderJagt and Joe Green.
