Visitation for Shirley Roberts will be held Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Shirley Roberts, age 78, of Skiatook, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Skiatook Nursing Home.

Shirley was born May 18, 1941 in Collinsville to Emery and Lola Russell. She grew up and received her education in Skiatook graduating May 13, 1960. Shirley married Jessie Ray Roberts on May 17, 1963 in Collinsville. She was a homemaker and worked at the Skiatook Nursing Home for 30 years. Shirley loved to do crafts and spend time with her grandkids.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father: Emery Russell, husband: Jessie Roberts, and daughter: Joetta Whinery.

Shirley is survived by her mother: Lola Russell of Skiatook, daughter: Debbie Soderquist and husband Doug of Inola, son-in-law: Leon Whinery of Inola, brothers: Charles Russell, and wife Kathy of Uba City, California, and Clifford Russell of Skiatook, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren dear friend: Melissa Johnson, her loving, caring family at Skiatook Nursing Home, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Amazing Grace” and “”My Wish”.

The family of Shirley Roberts entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
