Funeral services for Shannon Denise King will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with David Auten, presiding. Private family interment will follow under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Shannon Denise King, age 40, of Skiatook, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 in the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

Shannon was born September 29, 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to David and Patricia (Denas) Auten. Shannon grew up and received her education in Skiatook. Shannon was a waitress most of her life. Shannon became disabled in 2015. Shannon loved to draw.

Shannon was preceded in death by her mother Patricia and grandfather James Auten Sr.

Shannon is survived by her three children: Shawn Michael Phillips, Kylie Anne Phillips and Jessie Montana Taylor, her grandmother: Carolyn Auten,  her father: David Auten, seven brothers and sisters: Tandy Ryan Auten, Christina Leanne Auten, David Joseph Auten, Joshua Randall Auten, Tamella Shyanne Auten, Stacey Denise Cook and Phillip Wayne Beasley, one grandson: Rayden Matthew Phillips, Fiancee Lonnie Loftis, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


The family of Shannon D. King, entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
