Sandra Sue (Mcglaughlin) Pointer

Sandra Sue Pointer, age 82, of Avant went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Vinita.

Sandra was born January 17, 1941 in Avant, Oklahoma to Robert Benjamin and Netta (Roberts) McGlaughlin. Sandra grew up and received her education in Avant where she graduated high school in 1959. Sandra married Wayne Edward Pointer on April 10, 1961 in Bartlesville and made their home in Avant. Sandra worked in a movie theater, Wal-Mart in the cash office for 22 years, Exchange Bank and American Bank where she was a teller. Sandra attended the First Baptist Church of Avant the last few years. Sandra loved gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Netta McGlaughlin, husband Wayne Pointer, two brothers, four sisters and a granddaughter; Ashley Marie Pointer.

Sandra is survived by her children; Earnest Pointer and wife; Felicia and Zane Pointer and wife; Andrea, three sisters; Betty Hansen, Darlene Whitfield and Lena Holland, three grandchildren; Misty, Tyler and Jake, six great grandchildren; Spencer, Gavin, Brody, Aralynn, Abigail and Harper, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be; Brad White, Lloyd Hudson, Dustin Wright, Craig Cromer, Doug Edwards and Spencer Ryan. Honorary pallbearers are; Jim Hansen, Jim Holland, Philip Sitterly, Orvil Smith Jr., Mike Pointer

Music will be; “How Great Thou Art”, “Wings of A Dove”, “Green Green Grass of Home”, “In The Garden” and “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”.

The family of Sandra Pointer entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
