Ryan Paul Crawford

April 21, 1972 — February 18, 2025

Skiatook

Ryan Paul Crawford was born on April 21, 1972 to Debi Selby in Tulsa, OK. A beautiful boy with blonde curls and the prettiest biggest green eyes, he stole the hearts of everyone around him. Ryan was the apple of his grandparents & great grandparents eyes, and spent many days of his childhood fishing with his great grandfather on Skiatook Lake, Bird Creek and ponds all over Osage county, playing dominoes and helping his grandparents with farm chores. He made the childhood of his two little sisters a magical one, they were his biggest fans and best friends. Ryan was raised and received his education in Skiatook where he was a stand out athlete. He was a high school wrestling state runner up for two years and made the wrestling all-state team in 1990. If you’ve ever been in the Skiatook high school wrestling room, Ryan is pictured with the state championship team of 1988. Ryan was also an outstanding football player starting on both sides of the field. Ryan was a hard worker, growing up he always had a part time job, a summer job and learned at an early age how to build houses. Ryan went to college at Garden City, NEO and The University of Nebraska - Omaha.
His college wrestling was culminated when he was ranked #1 in the nation but was injured right before Nationals his senior year.
Ryan finished his bachelors degree in May 1999 at Oklahoma state university achieving his degree in construction engineering and management. He thrived at OSU and made many close friends. Ryan married Amy Klahr in 1999. He became a father in August of 1999 when his daughter, Allison was born. He was a smitten dad to a blonde girl with curls like her dad. In April 2002 Ryan completed his family when his son Tyler was born. Ryan never missed a soccer game or football game that Tyler played in and when Tyler was playing out of state football games in college he’d make the trek to cheer on his favorite football kicker. Ryan’s life and pride and joy was being a father. His son Tyler will graduate college this spring and we know he will be beaming with pride from the heavens. Ryan was the owner of Ryan Tyler homes and he was known industry wide as an expert builder who could turn things around in any company, lower costs and increase building integrity. His entire family was proud of his success and accomplishments. Ryan enjoyed fishing trips with his son, all over the country. He enjoyed nature and exploring. He loved attending sporting events, concerts and you rarely saw him without his headphones. He loved music, all kinds of music, and has left behind a playlist we will all treasure forever! He loved his dog Bear, he was the best protector, big brother to his sisters, and a loving son to his mother! He truly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Ryan’s loss in his family will be felt forever and we will treasure the good times with our golden boy, turned the best man, whom we all adored. Ryan is survived by his daughter Allison Crawford and his son Tyler Crawford. His mother Debi Selby McGlothlin, his step dad Bob McGlothlin. His grandmother Connie Sizemore and grandfather Jim Sizemore. His two sisters, Ashley Crawford Dailey and her husband Amos, and Shelby Rae Fisher and her fiancé Reggie Shepherd. His niece Mady Cornett, nephews Logan Fisher and his partner Austin Shupp, Dax Crawford, Laben Fisher and his wife Kati, great niece Lailynn Fisher. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandfather Darrel “Pete” Selby, great grandparents Delmas & Jessie Manry and Oscar & Annie Selby. And his best friend and brother in law Larry Fisher. Ryan battled Ankylosing Spondylitis for many years and most didn’t know how much he was suffering. If you feel compelled, we ask that you donate to the National Organization for Rare Disorders Research for Ankylosing Spondylitis. We find peace in knowing he’s no longer in pain.
