Roy Lee Marble
Roy Lee Marble, age 75, of Skiatook, died Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Franciscan Villas in Broken Arrow.
Roy was born April 23, 1938, in Cookson Hills, Oklahoma near Tahlequah to Ray and Margarette (Frailey) Marble. Roy was raised in Mayes County graduating from Chouteau High School. He went to N.E.O. in Miami and also attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Roy joined the National Guard and then enlisted into the United States Army working up through the ranks and retired after 20 years as a Major. Roy was stationed in Malta, Japan, Vietnam, and Germany, traveling all over the world for special training. Roy was employed with the Post Office in Tulsa where he was a supervisor over the Air Mail Facility for over fourteen years. Roy was also employed with Wal-Mart for seven years. Roy made many friends, he cared for his community, loved to work and was a talented carpenter. Roy had a thirst for knowledge and always enjoyed learning more about the Bible. Roy adored his grandchildren and spending time with his family.
Roy was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sons; Gary and David Marble, three brothers, and one sister.
Roy is survived by his wife; Glenda of the home, one son; Matthew Marble of Tulsa, four daughters; Dawn Scoggin of Tulsa, Oma Hash of Broken Arrow, Destiny and husband Adrian Castillo of Broken Arrow and Kasey and husband Jeff Parnell of Broken Arrow, two sisters; Betty Hass and Barbara Conley, two brothers; Billy Ray Marble and James Marble, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services are: "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art", and "Rock of Ages"
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
