Roy Lee Hammons, age 67, of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, June 9, 2023 in Skiatook.

Roy was born April 7, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Hamons and Billie Jean (Burgess). Roy was raised by his mother and stepfather Billie and Gene Cooley. Roy grew up and received his education in Guymon where he graduated from the Guymon High School in 1974. Roy married Alice Small on May 8, 1992 in Skiatook where they have made their home since that time. Roy was employed with Gilcrease Homeowners Association and Tulsa University where he was a groundskeeper. Roy liked to fish, took pride in his yard keeping it very nice, woodworking, and anything that had to do with working with his hands.

Roy was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather; Billie and Gene Cooley, son; Michael Shane Hamons and brother; Perry Don Cooley.

Roy is survived by his wife; Alice of the home, son; Travis Small and wife; Darice, sisters; Marilyn Sue Hunt and Betty Jean Crowley, four grandchildren; Christian Small, Carter Small, Ashlyn Debuhr and husband; Nathaniel and Jeremiah Brackett, several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
