Funeral services for Robert W. Eversole will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Gary Butler, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction f the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Robert W. Eversole, age 84, of Skiatook, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Sequoyah Pointe Living Center in Owasso.
Robert was born March 18, 1929 in Riverside, California to Leonard J. and Effie D. (Lunsford) Eversole.
Robert married Ella Elizabeth Stephenson on April 12, 1965 and made their home in Tulsa for a couple of years before moving to Skiatook where they have made their home since that time. Robert was a carpenter by trade working in some of Tulsa’s most prominent homes building kitchen cabinets. Robert was a craftsman. Robert liked wood carving, woodworking and fishing. Robert was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, 2013 member of the commanders club, Carson-Wilson American Legion Post and the First Baptist Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father, one sister, two half brothers, and by one step-son.
Robert is survived by his wife; Ella of the home, daughter; Gail Cromer and husband James R. of Owasso, three sisters; Anita Wiswell of Sallisaw, OK, Joan Hodge Sutton of Alabama and Nadene D. Lewis of North Carolina, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services are; “Amazing Grace” and “In The Garden” performed by Matt and Darla Neighbors.
Casket escorts for the services are: Carl Estes, David Estes, Craig Cromer, Cody Cromer, Casey Cromer and Dennis Harrison. Honorary casket escorts are: James Cromer, Lee Johnson and Doyle English.
