Robert Eugene Clifton Sr.

Funeral services for Robert E. Clifton Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Bill Zodrow and Aron Gardner, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Robert E. Clifton, age 84, of Skiatook, died at 5:47 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa OK.

Robert was born on April 25, 1931 to John Ansel and Louisa (McCollogh) Clifton. Robert grew up and received his education in Vera, Oklahoma. Robert entered into the United States Army in 1949 and received his honorable discharge in 1952. Robert married Patricia Ann Moyer on December 20, 1952 in Sperry. Robert and Patricia made their home mostly in Skiatook except ten years when they lived at Grand Lake. Robert was employed with American Airlines in 1965 and retired in 1989 where he was a mechanic. Robert took the opportunity to receive his High School Diploma in 2003 where he graduated with his oldest grandson Ryan. Robert enjoyed working out in his barn, building things, gardening and fishing. Robert was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father, step-father Bill Ford two sisters and four brothers.

Robert is survived by his wife Patricia of the home, children: Robert Clifton Jr., Cynthia Downey and husband Raymon, Brenda Klintworth and husband Russ and Becky Keys and husband Eric, eight grandchildren Ryan and wife Molly, Amelia, Amanda, Sarah, Drake, Rachael and husband Aron, Skyler and Dylan, four great grandchildren Kayley, Tyson, Ryder and Eleanor, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Hallelujah Square” and “Midnight Cry” performed by Joey Zodrow and Scott Neighbors and “Amazing Grace” will be performed by Molly Klintworth. Kelly Zodrow Pianist.
