Robert Eugene Bates

Robert Bates age 81 of Sperry, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday June 5, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Robert was born April 30, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Calvin Alonzo and Thelma Alweta (Ladd) Bates. He grew up and received his education in Skiatook and graduated from Skiatook High School in 1960. He went to Tulsa community College and took engineering classes. Robert was married to Nancy Reeves from 1960 until 2008 when she proceeded him in death.  He later married Judith Annette (Hough) Bates on October 23, 2010. He was employed at Louisiana Cement in New Orleans, built houses, and worked for GC Broach as an assistant plant manager, formed and owned a metal fabricating business. Robert enjoyed fishing, camping, building things, and working on old cars.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents: Calvin and Thelma, wife: Nancy and son: Calvin.
Robert is survived by his wife Judith, children: Robert E. Bates II and wife Joyce, Cynthia (Bates) Wolff and husband Alan, Cary and Karen Gotcher, Rex and Tina Gotcher, Eric Gotcher, and Toni and Kevin Kehler, brother: William A. Bates and wife Rachel Bates, niece: Kristy Rangel, nephew: Martin Bates, 26 Grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
