Funeral services for Richard Postier will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church in Owasso, OK with Rev. Sean McCoy, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Richard Postier, age 75, of Skiatook, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his residence.

Richard was born February 17, 1943 in Garber, Oklahoma to Harold Anton and Jesse Mae (Whaylen) Postier. Richard grew up and received his education in Garber graduating in 1961. He also attended OSU for 2 years. Richard married Sharon Ann Breitenkamp on December 9, 1961 in Enid, OK making their home in Enid, Stillwater, and Tulsa, before moving to Skiatook in 1972. Richard was employed with American Airlines where he was a machinist/foreman from 1978 until he retired in 2005. Richard enjoyed sporting events, camping, loved making pancakes for the family reunions where he was the morning chef. Richard was part of the group that founded the Skiatook Soccer program and stayed involved with soccer by being a referee.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Jesse Postier, brother: Bill Postier, sister: Emma and husband Gene Cerney, brother-in-law: Curtis Moore and sister in-law Gay Hart and husband Walker.

Richard is survived by his wife: Sharon Postier, children: Phillip Postier and wife Kari, Rick Postier and wife Angie, Brad Postier and wife Sheridan, Justin Postier and wife Gina, brother: Harold “Bud” Postier and wife Susie, sister: Delores Moore, brother-in-law: Gary Breitenkamp, sister-in-law Donna and husband Tommy Powell, 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the services will be: Daniel Robinson, Garrick Postier,           Branton Postier, Camron Gregory, Peyton Postier, Camdan Postier, Tobin Postier, and Trae Stanton.

Honorary Pallbearers: Seth Stanton, Michael Postier, Carson Postier, Cooper Postier and Glenn Smalygo.

Music for the services will be: “Our God Is An Awesome God”, “How Great Thou Art”, “This Is The Day”, “I Can Only Imagine” and “In The Garden”.

The family of Richard Postier entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
