Funeral services for Richard Keith will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2019 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Nielsen officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Richard Keith, age 88, of Skiatook, passed away Monday, April 28, 2019 in Tulsa.

Richard lived in Fayetteville Arkansas when he was little and then they moved to Los Angeles when he was probably 5th grade or so and then moved to Skiatook where he went to high school, graduated and lived most of his life. Richard married Margaret Elizabeth White on July 28, 1950 in Tulsa.  He was the oldest of four children with a brother Jim and sisters Joann and Louise. After high school Richard got a job working in the field office for a civil engineering firm building the Turner Turnpike and he and Margret moved to Stroud Oklahoma.  They then moved to Elyria Ohio where he worked on the Ohio Turnpike.  They then moved to Miami Oklahoma where he worked on the Will Rogers Turnpike. After that they moved back to Skiatook where he worked for several Tulsa civil engineering firms (including several years at Cox and Associates) and passed the exam to be a licensed civil engineer.  Around 1980 he started his own civil engineering firm R W Keith and Associates where he worked for most of the rest of his professional career. Richard did enjoy his work and enjoyed golfing and TU games. Richard had served on the Skiatook School Board and Elder First Christian Church Skiatook.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife Margaret, one son; Thomas Andrew Keith, two sisters and by one brother.

Richard is survived by his five children; daughter Lizanne Keith, son Pat and wife Peggy, March and wife Linda, John and wife Lisa and Daughter Sara (Sally) and husband Dennis McDaniel, twelve Grandkids and twenty Great Grandkids, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Richard Keith entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
