Funeral services for Richard Shane Davis will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Nielsen and Chaplain William Boyd Howell, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Richard Shane Davis, age 41, of Skiatook died Saturday, September 27, 2014 at his Skiatook residence.
Shane was born October 29, 1972 in Collinsville, Oklahoma to Richard Warren and Wanda Ruth (Hansen) Davis. Shane grew up and received his education in Skiatook. Shane married Heather Teresa Carter January 12, 1991 in Skiatook. Shane had been employed with the Connors Correctional Facility for 6 years, Owasso Police Department for 13 years, was Chief of Police at Barnsdall for 1 year and was currently employed with PV Construction as a laborer. Shane liked hunting, fishing, golfing, liked going to rodeos and liked music.
Shane is survived by his two children; Kylie Jade Davis of Sperry, Lane Richard Davis of Skiatook, father and mother; Richard and Wanda Davis of Skiatook, two brothers; Berry Gillett and Terry Gillett, one sister; Jamie Reeves, one grandchild; Cash Michael Davis and a host of other relatives and friends.
Honor guard will be provided from the Owasso Police Department.
Honorary casket escorts are: Robin Hansen, Terry Gillett, Berry Gillett, David Francis, Lane Richard Davis, Mike Denton and Chuck Romans.
Music for the services will be; Baby Blue, If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away and This Is Where The Cowboy Rides Away.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
