Funeral services for Reba Lee Downing will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Doug Rainbolt, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Reba Lee Downing, age 75, of Skiatook, died at 8:23 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
Reba was born April 7, 1939 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma to Paul and Louise (Davis) Copeland. Reba grew up and received her education in Locust Grove. Reba married Jimmy Downing in 1952 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma and made their home their until moving to Skiatook in 1969. Reba was a homemaker of the home. Reba enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino and playing bingo.
Reba was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Jimmy, one sister and by three brothers.
Reba is survived by her four children; Jimmy Downing of Skiatook, Paul Downing and wife Caren of Collinsville, Carl Wayne Downing of Skiatook and Maryetta Rainbolt and husband Doug of Grove, three sisters; Frances Dennis of Tulsa, Mary Coger of Locust Grove and Janet Copeland of Claremore four brothers; Lucky Copeland of Sapulpa, Billy Stipes of Locust Grove, David Dilley of Tulsa and Charles Dilley of Tulsa, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be; “I’ll Fly Away” and “Power In The Blood”.
Casket escorts will be: Ron Bruce, Terry O’Brien, Allan Barnes, Ronnie Pollard, Mark Hinson and Lucky Copeland Jr.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
