Ramona Linette (Enloe) Schaefer

Ramona Linette Schaefer, 79 years old of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday December 19, 2021. She was born on April 1, 1942 in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Ramona enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible and history books, watching the history channel, and watching OU football and softball. As a child, she would play in the creek in Avant with her brothers and run around town with them. Nightly meals with her family included “scripture scramble” as both her parents were ministers. As an adult, you could find her playing cards with her siblings at family gatherings and most conversations would lead to discussions of the Bible. In her early 20’s, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Schaefer. They spent nearly 50 years together traveling and raising children. In her later years, Ramona often reminisced of her childhood with her siblings, the memories of her parents, and the time spent with her husband.

Ramona was the fourth of seven children and mother to four children. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Harper of Tulsa, Deborah Duncan of Owasso, and Donna Anthony; her son Richard Taylor of Tulsa; her sister Patti Enloe Smart of Rowlett, Texas; granddaughters Cheyenne Westlake and Jessie Montana Taylor of Tulsa; multiple other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents Millard and Jessie Enloe, her husband Kenneth Schaefer, her brothers John, Charles, Ralph, and Shannon Dale Enloe, and her sister Frances “Rook” Hawkins.

Her feisty spirit and laughter will be greatly missed, but we are comforted to know she is with the Lord and back with her family and husband where she always wanted to be.
