Ralph Gene “Chief” Wallace
Funeral services for Ralph Gene “Chief” Wallace will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Timpson Chapel Cemetery with Bro. George Vaughn, officiating. Interment will follow in the Timpson Cemetery near Vinita under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Ralph Gene “Chief” Wallace, age 80, of Skiatook, died at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at his Skiatook residence.
Ralph was born October 12, 1934 in Estella, Oklahoma to Jesse Russell and Pauline (Thirsty) Wallace. Ralph grew up and received his education in Hominy graduating high school in 1953. Ralph married Judith Ann Hayes on August 9, 1974 in Hominy making their home in Skiatook since that time. Ralph was employed with Williams Pipeline Company in 1973 and retired in 1996 where he had been a welder. Ralph was an artist, musician, gardener and liked working with pottery.
Ralph was preceded in death by his mother and father, one son: Ralph Gene Wallace Jr. and by one brother: Jesse Russell “Bud” Wallace.
Ralph is survived by his wife: Judy of the home, five children: William “Bill” Wallace, Guy Lynn Wallace, Rene’ LaBelle, Marvin Hewitt and Joy Chambers, one sister: Pauline RedEagle, sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: “Amazing Grace” in Cherokee and “I’ll Fly Away”.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
