Funeral services for Ralph Avery Goodell Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Butler, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Ralph Avery Goodell Jr, age 70, of Skiatook, died at 3:00 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Post Acute Hospital in Tulsa.

Ralph was born July 31, 1944 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Agness Ellen (Robinson) and Ralph Avery Goodell Sr.. Ralph grew up and received his education in Bartlesville graduating in 1962. Ralph married Paula McMullen in Oklahoma making their home in Tahlequah, Owasso, Coweta and Nevada.  Ralph also went to North Eastern State graduating with a Bachelor’s and continued his education in Nevada where he received his Master’s Degree. Ralph was an Art Teacher starting his career in Owasso then Coweta and retired in Nevada. Ralph loved art and the outdoors.

Ralph was preceded in death by his mother and father and by his wife.

Ralph is survived by his siblings: Rebecca Fortanace and husband Mark, Elizabeth Ann Minden and Andy Goodell and wife Sylvia, four nieces and by four nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Casket escorts for the services will be: Jason Goodell, Aaron Goodell, Brett Goodell, Coly Herren, Lane Goodell and Hunter Goodell. Honorary casket escorts will be: Ty Goodell, Chase Goodell, Cash Herren, Chaz Herren and Mark Avery Fortanace.

Music for the services will be: “In The Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross” performed by Karon Roberts and Sharon Harper.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
