Funeral services for Phyllis Bartmess will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Taylor of the Community Lighthouse Church, officiating.

Phyllis Bartmess, age 74, of Skiatook, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Phyllis was born October 19, 1940 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Homer Wilson and Kathryn (Morgan) Hendryx. Phyllis grew up and received her education in Tulsa. Phyllis was employed with St. John Medical Center in Tulsa in 1965 and retired in 1998 where she was a Cardiovascular Surgical Technician.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother and father, one son; Virgil Allen Edmondson III, eight brothers and sisters; Virginia Faye Hendryx, Louise Ecker, Lester “Ralph” Hendryx, Donald “Don” Hendryx, Nina Peak, Robert Hendryx, Kay Grieshaber and Ronald “Dean” Hendryx.

Phyllis is survived by her son; Cody and wife Angela Bartmess of Broken Arrow, five grandchildren; Taylor, Carson, Peyton, Riley and Kennedy Bartmess, two sisters; Yvonne Roberts of Skiatook and Sue Badley of Coweta, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
