Pennelope Sue Gunter, age 80, of Sperry went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, July 15, 2022.
Pennelope was born July 24, 1941 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Errett Eugene and Gertrude (Standridge) Fox. She grew up and received her education in Verdigris where she graduated in 1959. She also attended Draughon’s Business School in Tulsa. Pennelope married Franklin D. Gunter in New Castle, Oklahoma moving to Sperry in 1990. She was a secretary at Armin Plastics in Tulsa and attended the First United Methodist Church. Pennelope loved crafting, gardening, loved the lake, country music and most of all, spending time with her family that adored her.
Pennelope was preceded in death by her mother and father; Gertrude and Errett Fox, husband Franklin D. Gunter, and by one sister; Elaine Fox.
Pennelope is survived by her children; Chris Gillman and wife Lorri, Randy Pyburn and wife Erin and Kevin Gunter and wife Holly, sister; Phyllis Frost, brother; Danny Fox, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family of Pennelope Sue Gunter entrusted the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home with her care and services.
