Paula Faye (Etter) Cunningham

Funeral services for Paula Cunningham will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024, in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Casillas officiating. Internment will follow in the Green Acres Memorial Gardens cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Paula Faye Cunningham, age 64, of Skiatook went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at her Skiatook residence.

Paula was born April 7, 1959, in Joplin, Missouri to Donald Paul and Joy Ann (Guthrie) Etter. Paula grew up in various states and completed her education in Sand Springs. Paula married Tony Cunningham on April 29, 1978, in Tulsa making their home in Tulsa for eight years before moving to Skiatook where she has made her home since that time. Paula was employed with various nursing facilities where she was a CNA. Paula had also previously been employed with Oral Roberts University, Wal-Mart, did in home care for numerous people and owned and operated the Daylight Donut Shop in Sperry. Paula was of the Pentecostal Faith where she was a member of the Day Star Ministries in Stillwell. Paula loved to cook, work on arts and crafts, loved to dance and sing, helping people and spending time with her children and grandkids.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Paul, and Joy Ann Etter, and by one brother, Howard Don Etter, one nephew, Steven Paul Etter.

Paula is survived by her three children, Tonya Casillas and husband Rick, Denise Thomas and husband Eric,  John Cunningham and fiance Amber Shafer, grandchildren, Clayton Casillas, Emmalee Casillas, Mason Walters, Sidney Gaynor, Ryder Cunningham, Kennedy Cunningham, Heidi Lawson, and Braylynn Shafer, three brothers, Steve Etter, Mark Etter, and Johnny Etter, two sisters, Lisa Borden and Angie Etter, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the service is, “Beat Up Bible”, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “In the Garden”. Video music is, “Go Rest High on That Mountain” and “Beulah Land”.

Pallbearers are Rick Casillas, Clayton Casillas, Mason Walters, Ryder Cunningham, Eric Thomas, John Cunningham, and Johnny Etter.

The family of Paula Faye Cunningham entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
