Patricia R. Dobbs

Patricia Ruth (Allison) Dobbs, “Pat” as she was known, 83, of Collinsville, OK passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 1, 2017.

Pat was born on January 31, 1933 in Oklahoma City, OK to John and Marie (Pennington) Allison. She graduated from high school in Odessa, TX where she met her high school sweetheart, Troy Dobbs. They were married on June 6, 1953. She held numerous jobs in her life including as a sales clerk at Montgomery Ward, a cook, and an administrative assistant, but her favorite job was a cake decorator. She and Troy have been members of the Free Will Baptist Church all of their Christian lives. She was a pastor’s helpmate for 58 years, being Troy’s prayer warrior and helping in all the areas of the church. Pat was very devout in her faith and was always willing to follow God’s leading in their lives. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and brought joy to those around her. Pat was witty and had a keen sense of humor.

Pat is survived by her husband of 63 years Pastor Troy Dobbs, daughter Debbie Whitworth and husband Gary of Greenville, TX, daughter Mary Hammon and husband John of Bartlesville, OK six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister Pam Berndt and husband Ed of Farmer’s Branch, TX, one nephew, and four cousins and their families.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

The family of Patricia Ruth Dobbs entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
