Pat Gentry

Memorial services for Pat Gentry will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Avant Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Grounds, officiating. A private family interment will be held.

Pat Gentry, age 82, of Avant, died at 4:20 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at  St. John Medical Center in Tulsa surrounded by her loved ones.

Pat was born October 27, 1933 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Edgar Andrew and Flora Elizabeth (Carter) Gipson. Pat grew up and received her education in 12 schools graduating from high school in 1951 from Olney, Illinois. Pat married Glen Paul Gentry on April 11, 1952 in the Avant Methodist Church and they made their home in Avant most of their married lives. Pat was employed with Linde Corporation where she was a Engineering Secretary/ Administrative Assistant. Pat was a member of the Avant Methodist Church for over 65 years. She was  an avid Denver Bronco and Texas Ranger fan, liked scrabble and cross word puzzles and showed her love to family and friends by preparing delicious meals and desserts for them.

Pat was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Glen, one brother: Jim Gipson.

Pat is survived by her three daughters: Cindy Townley and husband Joe, Paula Gentry and Liz Klawitter and husband John, three grandchildren: Gentry Klawitter, Allie Klawitter and Colt Townley, one brother: Tom Gipson and wife Carol, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in the memory of Pat Gentry, those who wish to contribute in her memory may do so to the: United Methodist Church-Avant  P.O. Box 25 Avant, OK 74001.

Memorial services are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
