Oshia Faye “Harvey” Tucker
Faye returned home to be with her Lord June 30, 2014. She was born in Texarkana Arkansas to Robert William Harvey and Mittie “Beavers” Harvey. Early in her childhood the family moved to Sequoyah County Oklahoma and lived there until she graduated Sallisaw High School. After graduating high school she moved to Tulsa where she worked as a waitress at the Greyhound Bus Station. While working at the bus station she met Andy Tucker a young sailor returning from the Korean War, who became her friend, soul mate and husband. Faye and Andy were married January 8, 1954 and were married 43 years.
Faye loved the Lord and attending church and teaching Sunday school. Her other great passion was doing genealogy research on the family. She and Andy traveled the country researching court records and visiting cemeteries and other related historical places. She loved gardening in the spring and summer and making quilts in the fall and winter.
Faye dearly loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. She always insisted that all be present for her traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings.
