Norma Sue Quinton

Norma Sue Quinton, age 82, of Sperry, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at the St. John Medical center in Tulsa.

Norma was born February 1, 1935 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to Lewis and Cordelia (Tyner) Washington. She grew up and received her education in the Chilocco Indian School graduating in 1953. Norma married Robert W. Quinton December 31, 1970 in Claremore making their home in Sperry. Norma was a homemaker, she was an avid cook, avid walker and loved spending time with her family.

Norma was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Robert, five sisters, three brothers and by two sons: Lewis “Beau” Carpenter and Perry L. Carpenter.

Norma is survived by her Children: Willie carpenter, David Carpenter, Aaron Carpenter, Eric Wensman, Terry Wensman, Kelly Wensman, Melissa Quinton and Jason Quinton, one brother: George Washington, two sisters: Dorthy Mae Panther and Kathleen Hughes, 36 grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, several nieces and a nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Norma Sue Quinton entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
