Memorial services for Norma Lou Hayes will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Calvary Apostolic Church with Bro. John D. Carroll, officiating.

Norma Lou Hayes, age 74, of Skiatook, died at 1:26 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Hillcrest Medical center in Tulsa.

Norma was born June 12, 1941 in Jungland, Missouri to Joe Edward Ward and Rose Spradling. She received her primary schooling in Jungland and Fisk, secondary schooling in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and received her Associates degree from Three Rivers Community College. Norma married Donald Lee Stevens in 1958 and they had 5 children: Joe, Teresa, Donald, Jennifer and Dennis they were married 14 years. Norma later married Pete Hayes on August 15, 1980 in Qulin, Missouri moving to Irondale, Missouri in 1981 and they have been married 36 years. Norma liked reading, sewing, gardening, cooking for family, going to yard sales and studying her bible.

Norma is survived by her husband: Carl Harrison “Pete” Hayes of the home, Children: Joe Stevens and wife Karen of Coweta, OK, Teresa Stack and husband Doug of Broken Arrow, OK and Jennifer Woolman and husband Randy of Skiatook, OK, brothers: Bob Ward of Doniphan, MO, Bill Russell of Winfield, MO and Richard “Biggs” Russell of Winfield, MO, sister: Dena Kay Powers of Qulin, MO, sisters-in-laws: Bea Hayes of St. Louis, MO and June Marlar of Poplar Bluff, MO, 12 grandchildren: Michael Lee, Heather, Kristi, Eric, Candice, Jake, ____, Sasha, Ericka, Randi, James and Shelby, 3 great grandchildren: Kyle, Max and Chris and a host of other relatives and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her mother and father, Joe Ward and Rose Sprandling, brothers: Donald Joe Ward and Harry Melvin Ward, sons: Donald Lee Stevens, Jr. and Dennis Eugene Stevens.

Music for the services will be: “Let the Worshipers Arise”, “Amazing Grace”, “In The Garden” and “What A Day That Will Be”.

Honorary Casket escorts will be: Joe Stevens, Doug Stack, Randy Woolman, Eric Ray Stevens, James Michael Stevens, Michael Lee Hayes, Nick Meyer, Jason Pollardo and Josh Sampson.

Cremation services are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
