Funeral services for Nina Mae Peak will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Osage Gardens Cemetery with Pastor William Vance, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Nina Mae Peak, age 83, of Skiatook, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Nina was born September 22, 1930 in Farmersville, California to Homer and Emma Kathryn (Morgan) Hendryx. Nina grew up and received her education in California and Cherokee school in Turley. Nina married Delmas Lee Sutherland in 1946 later married Roy Lee Cohea in 1955 and in 1973 she married Paul Peak. Nina was employed with Wonder Bread where she worked in the Thrift Store for 9 years. Nina was also a school crossing guard in North Tulsa. Nina liked to sew, fish and take care of her grandkids and cook.

Nina was preceded in death by her mother and father and by six brothers and sisters.

Nina is survived by her children; Lynn Sutherland, Gary Sutherland, Wayne Sutherland, Rick Cohea, Billy Cohea, Ronnie Cohea, Vicky Cohea, Keith Cohea and Tom Cohea, three sisters; Phyllis Bartmess, Yvonne Roberts and Sue Badley, twenty six grandchildren, forty four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Casket escorts are; David Sutherland, Gary Sutherland, Chris Sutherland, Tommy Cohea, Jesse Caughron, Tommy Cohea and Brad Cohea.

Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
