Memorial services for Nathan J. Brehm will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Whitley, officiating. Private family interment to be held.
Nathan J. Brehm, age 88, of Skiatook, died at 5:35 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his Skiatook residence.
Nathan was born October 14, 1926 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to George J. and Katherine (Schnell) Brehm. Nathan grew up and received his education in Weatherford. Nathan was a farmer and entered into the United States Army in 1947 and received his honorable discharge in 1949. In August of 1950 Nathan was mobilized with the Oklahoma National Guard and was deployed to the Korean War. Nathan married Rose Marie Jones on November 11, 1950 in Weatherford, Oklahoma and they made their home in Tulsa, Collinsville, Wagoner and moved to Skiatook in 2001 where they have made their home since that time. Nathan was a farmer and was also employed with McDonald Douglas and Boeing for thirty two years. Nathan liked fishing and wood working. Nathan was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Nathan was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers, seven sisters and by one son: Nathan DeWayne Brehm.
Nathan is survived by his wife: Rose of the home, four children: Esther Moore and husband Robert, Debbie Hulsey and husband Joe, Donna Gaddy and Tina Jones, six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: “Have Thine Own Way”, “When We All Get To Heaven” and “precious Memories.
Memorial services and cremation are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
