Myrtle Lavonne LeGrand, born on December 8, 1933, to William and Myrtle (Jenkins) Tyler peacefully passed away on February 18, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 91. Myrtle was a beloved figure in her community and within family, known for her nurturing spirit and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Throughout her life, Myrtle dedicated herself to being a homemaker, creating a loving and supportive environment for her family. She cherished the role of caregiver, where her devotion and care left a profound impact on her loved ones. Myrtle grew up and received her education in Perry, where she developed a strong foundation that would serve her well throughout her life. In a moment that would shape her future, she married James Carol LeGrand, building a life together that was marked by love and shared memories. Myrtle had a rich tapestry of interests that included cooking, watching drama shows, working on crossword puzzles, and enjoying the tranquility of the outdoors. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, with whom she formed unforgettable bonds. Her energy and enthusiasm for life were evident in the way she played and interacted with her loved ones, creating cherished moments that will be fondly remembered. Myrtle is survived by her son, Bill LeGrand; her brother Raymond Tyler and eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her presence. Myrtle was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, James Carol her son Jason LeGrand, her daughter Janice Kathleen Garrison-Coffey, son, James LeGrand and her granddaughter Lakota Lavonne. Each of these losses was a significant chapter in her life, shaping the compassionate and resilient person she became. Myrtle Lavonne LeGrand’s legacy will continue to live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared. Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. The family of Myrtle LeGrand entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
