Miriam Ann Moses
Funeral services for Miriam Ann Moses will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3rd, 2015 at the First Baptist Church South Campus with Scott Neighbors, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Miriam Ann Moses, age 85, of Skiatook, died at 2:20 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at the North County Nursing Home in Collinsville.
Miriam was born September 24, 1930 in Jackson, Mississippi to Vanburen and Doris (Lindsey) Abernathy. She grew up and received her education in Jackson and completed her education in Timpson graduating in 1948. She married Aaron Burnett Moses on August 12, 1948 in Timpson, Texas making their home in Houston most of their married life. Miriam moved to Skiatook on February 26, 2015. Miriam was a secretary for Gulf Publishing Company in Houston and retired in the mid 1990’s. Miriam liked sewing, decoupage, made purses and worked with gold leafing. Miriam was a member of the Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston.
Miriam was preceded in death by her mother and father and by one brother.
Miriam is survived by her two children: Phyllis Lynn Dugan and Scott Andrew Moses, one grandson Daniel Aaron Dugan, her twin sister: Mildred Rankin, half -brother: Danny Hughes and half- sister: Patricia Peco and a host of other relatives and friends.
Music for the services will be: “Beulah Land”, Jesus, Lover Of My Soul” and “I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You”.
Casket escorts will be: David Dugan, Daniel Dugan, Ed Dugan, Scott Moses, Dennis Harrison and Joe Rozell.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
