Minnie Florence Huddleston
Minnie F. Huddleston, age 84, of Skiatook, died at 5:08 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013 at her Skiatook residence.
Minnie was born April 28, 1929 in Jay, Oklahoma to Ray and Maymie (Roberts) Morrison. Minnie grew up and received her education in Sperry. Minnie married Gearld Kelly “Smokey” Huddleston on February 9, 1946 in Sperry. Minnie was employed with Munsing Wear in Hominy where she was a folder for 21 years and was also a homemaker of the home. Minnie liked collecting pictures of the family and spending time with them. Minnie was also know for her Christmas tree decorating.
Minnie was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Smokey, one son: Herman Huddleston, one daughter: Carol Carter, two sisters: Carolyn Morrison and Jewell Housdan and by two grandchildren.
Minnie is survived by her three children: Roger Huddleston and wife Paula of Skiatook, Ruth Leonard and husband Jerry of Oklahoma City and Clayton Huddleston and wife Linda of Skiatook, one brother: Charlie Morrison of Skiatook, three sisters: Anna Lee Reems of New Mexico, Wanda Corn of Skiatook and Dorothy Yankee of New Mexico, eleven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Casket escorts for the services are: Jess Huddleston, Kip Huddleston, Kelly Huddleston, Jacob Leonard, Richard Akin and Ron Boren. Honorary casket escort is Jarod Cunningham.
