Funeral services for Melvin Rozell will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Tucker, officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Melvin Rozell, age 85, of Skiatook, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his residence.

Melvin was born December 24, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Kay O. and Viola (Sisson) Rozell. Melvin grew up and received his education in Skiatook graduating in 1952. Melvin married Velma Christine Smith on August 31, 1956 in Skiatook making their home in Tulsa for two years before moving to Skiatook. Melvin was a self-employed construction worker and farmer most his life. Melvin and Velma liked collecting pottery and he enjoyed working on the farm.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents: Kay and Viola Rozell, his wife Velma, one brother: Bob Rozell and by one sister: Christine Parke.

Melvin is survived by his two nephews: Joe Rozell and Roy Rozell, two nieces: Debbie Kopf and Sally Epperson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers for the services will be: Adam Kopf, Travis Kopf, Kevin Caywood, Pat Walker, Chris Nicholson and Jake Nicholson.

Music for the services will be: "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross" performed by Scott Neighbors.

The family of Melvin Rozell entrusted his care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
