Melba Ruth Lackey

Melba Ruth Lackey, age 85, of Skiatook, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Porta Caeli House in Tulsa.

Melba was born May 27, 1932 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to John Edward and Hattie Victoria (Smith) Faulkner. Melba grew up and received her education in Arvin, California. She married Walter Lackey on June 9, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada making their home in California until moving to Oklahoma in 1970 and has made her home in Skiatook for the past 23 years. Melba was a homemaker. Melba liked sewing and watching Christian TV.

Melba was preceded in death by her parents: John and Hattie Faulkner, husband: Walter, three sons, three brothers and by two sisters.

Melba is survived by her three children: Wesley Lackey, Vickey Turner and husband Bob and Tim Lackey, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Melba Lackey entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
