Mary Lou (Barnes) Stringfellow

Mary Lou Stringfellow, age 72, of Skiatook went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Skiatook.

Mary was born May 27, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Frank Joe and Glyndola (Seely) Barnes. Mary grew up and received her education in Tulsa where she graduated from McLain High School in Tulsa in 1968. Mary married Tommie Dewayne Stringfellow on March 8, 1968 in Turley where they made their home until moving to Skiatook in 1971 where they made their home since that time. Mary was employed with Bovaird Supply Company where she worked in the mail room. Mary had also been employed with Wal-Mart in Skiatook until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Lighthouse Community Church and had also been a member of the First Assembly of God Church for 41 years. Mary loved playing Bunko, coloring, going to garage sales and camping in her younger years.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father; Glyndola and Frank Barnes, her brother; George Barnes and sister; Helen Hughes.

Mary is survived by her husband Tommie, sons; Danny Stringfellow and wife Candis of Skiatook, Gary Stringfellow and wife Jennifer of Collinsville, brothers; Jimmie Barnes and wife Betty of Broken Arrow, Glenn Barnes and wife Arlena of Tulsa, four grandchildren; Kyle Stringfellow and fiancée Baylie of Owasso, Adam Stringfellow of Collinsville, Jayne Stringfellow of Skiatook and Alyssa “Bree” Stringfellow of Collinsville, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Mary Stringfellow entrusted the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home with her care and services.
