Mary Ella (Barlow) Rozell

Gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Thompson officiating and with Mr. Herb Forbes sharing the obituary. A private family internment will be held at a later date.

Mary Ella Rozell, age 89, of Skiatook went to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:33 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024, at her Skiatook residence.

Mary was born June 10, 1935, in Tulsa, OK, to Edward George and Irma Mildred (Hendryx) Barlow. She was raised in Vera, OK, where she graduated from High School as Valedictorian in 1951. Mary was wed to Bobby Gene Rozell on June 14, 1952, in Tulsa.  They made their home north of Skiatook, where they had a dairy and farmed and raised their children,  Debbie, Joe, Roy and Sally. While in high school Mary was employed with Greenwood’s. Upon her graduation she was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville where she worked in the accounting Dept. Mary was also employed with Kendall’s Drug for over 20 years. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Skiatook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Irma Barlow; husband, Bob Rozell; daughter, Kristy; sister, Gaile; brother, Jack.

Mary is survived by her children, Debbie Rozell Kopf, Joe Bob Rozell and wife Stacy, Roy Dean Rozell and wife Donna and Sally Marie Rozell Epperson and husband Tom.  She was “Nana” to  eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Mary will be missed by a host of other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Kenneth Wise, Herb Forbes, Dan Adcock, Robert Williams, Phil Patillo, Brian Myers, Bill Linton and Gary Yarbrough. Music for the service will be, “In The Garden”, and the “Old Rugged Cross” performed by, Matt Neighbors.
