Mary Dianne Perrier age 67, resident of the Barnsdall Nursing Home died April 3, 2013.

Mary Dianne Perrier was born June 21, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Carl Biel and Catherine Long.  She grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Withrow High School.  Shortly thereafter she married Richard Frances Martina and they had two children, Dina Elizabeth and Richard Jason.

In 1972 Mary moved to Oklahoma with her two children and settled in Skiatook to be near her mother Catherine. That same year she married Ben Scott and became the mother of a step son Daniel Edward. During that time Mary had several jobs. She worked at Wells grocery store and at Osage Food Ranch.  She began working at Blue Stem Real Estate where she obtained her Real Estate license. Mary also worked for many years as a legal secretary and eventually ended up working at MFA Propane. In 1988 she married James Perrier and they continued to live in Skiatook together for approximately the next 18 years.

Mary was a loving mother and always put her children first. She was the definition of a “people person”. She made friends easily and loved to sit and visit. You could talk to Mary about anything. She was nonjudgmental and always had advice to offer.  One of Mary’s favorite passions was music. She loved to listen to good music, on the stereo and in person.

During the final years of her life, Mary resided at the Barnsdall Nursing Home where she remained the open, friendly person she always had been. She became a favorite of many of the staff and the residents there.

Mary was a special soul and will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-son Daniel Edward Scott. She is survived by her two children, Dina Elizabeth Davis and her husband Jerry Davis and Richard Jason Scott and his wife Molly Scott, and by her daughter-in-law Donna Scott. She also is survived by her grandchildren Augusta Marie Davis, Casey Davis, Kristen Spangler, Stephanie Spangler, and Daniel Ethan Scott along with 7 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Barnsdall Nursing Home and Rivercross Hospice for their care and concern for Mary during this difficult period of her life.

Memorial services are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
