Funeral services for Mary Charlene Cope will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Frank Brummett, officiating. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
Mary Charlene Cope, age 64, of Tulsa, died June 9, 2015 from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Mary was born December 1, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Van D. and Patsy June (Shelton) Youngblood. Mary grew up and received her education in Owasso. Mary married Larry Edward Parris on June 14, 1965 in Owasso where they made their home. March 17, 1976 she married Richard Dale “Dick” Gruenwald in Owasso making their home in Sperry. On August 5, 2004 she married Harvey Eugene Cope in Bentonville, Arkansas making their home in Sperry and Tulsa area since that time. Mary was a homemaker of the home and was also a caregiver. Mary liked to fish, boating, camping and going to the casino’s.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, husbands Larry and Richard and by one brother.
Mary is survived by her husband Harvey of the home, six children: Machelle Beckham, Larry Edwin Parris, James Michael Parris, Katrenna Dale Gomez, Dalyua Dee Gruenwald and Aeryanna Roshell Gruenwald, two sisters: Susan Kay Brown and Wanda Wright, one brother: Harold Gene Youngblood, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two step children: Daniel Cope and Theresa Tiblow, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Casket escorts will be: Gary Smith, Dakota Beckham, Nicholas Neal, Richard Neal, Francisco Gomez and Taylor Gruenwald.
Music for the services will be: “Amazing Grace”.
Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
