Marvin Joe Gray

Marvin Joe Gray, age 84, of Skiatook went to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at his Owasso residence.

Visitation is Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and services 2:00 p.m. Monday both at the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Andy Henson of the Owasso First Methodist Church will be officiating. Internment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Marvin was born June 23, 1940, in Centralia, Illinois to Leo James and Thelma Darlene (Lycette) Gray. Marvin grew up and received his education in Avant where he graduated in 1958. Marvin also attended Tech School at O.S.U. Okmulgee. Marvin married Judith Kay Williams on May 18, 1962, in Tulsa where they made their home. Marvin and Judith made their home in Dallas, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Skiatook for 11 years before moving to Owasso in 2018. Marvin worked in sales working for Ingersoll Rand, Finnel Compressors, Air Compressor Supply, and in his early years he worked as a butcher and worked for Git-N-Go where he met Judith. Marvin loved to golf, fish, travel in the R.V.  and playing games. Marvin was a member of the Owasso First Methodist Church.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Thelma Gray, wife, Judith, son, John Mark Gray, two sisters, Darlene Porter and Mildred Houston, two brothers, Bud Gray and Leon Gray.

Marvin is survived by his son, Gregory Wayne Gray, four grandchildren, Jessicca Eastham, Cameron French, Bart Gray and Corey Gray, three great grandchildren, Alex, Marilynn and Arthur, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
