Margie Ester ( Townley) McBride

Graveside services for Margie McBride will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Osage Gardens Veterans Memorial Building with Rev. Dale Nielsen officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Margie McBride, age 83, of Skiatook, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Tulsa.

Margie was born July 17, 1935 in Skiatook to John W. and Eva (Blanchard) Townley. Margie grew up and received her education in Avant where she graduated with the Class of 1953. Margie married Ernest Middleton on April 2, 1954. On October 7, 1972 she married Frank McBride in Doniphan, Missouri. Margie and Frank owned and operated McBride’s Auto Service from 1986 to 1997 when she retired. Margie was a PBX switch board operator in her younger years. Margie liked to crochet, needle work, bowling, square dancing, gardening and canning. Margie was a member of the PBX Club.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; John and Eva Townley, her two husbands, one sister and by one brother.

Margie is survived by her three children; Gayle Anders and husband David of Skiatook, Ester Rivera and husband Victor of Skiatook and Ernest Duane Middleton of Spavinaw, one sister; Martha Lott of Pawhuska, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Margie McBride entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
